The Stockbridge Summer Arts & Crafts Show celebrates its 34th year in the town Norman Rockwell famously described as “the best of New England, the best of America.” Held in the heart of historic downtown Stockbridge, the show takes place on the picturesque grounds of the Town Offices and the historic Old Corner House. Visitors can stroll to nearby specialty shops, galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and the iconic Red Lion Inn, all within walking distance of the show.

Stockbridge is at the center of the Berkshires’ vibrant cultural scene, home to internationally renowned festivals of music, theater, and dance, as well as world-class museums and historic estates. Each summer, hundreds of thousands of visitors come to the region to experience its arts, culture, and natural beauty.

The show’s highly visible location sits along the route to many of Stockbridge’s most celebrated attractions, including the Norman Rockwell Museum, Berkshire Theatre Group, Tanglewood, Chesterwood, Naumkeag, and the Berkshire Botanical Garden. Conveniently located less than three hours from both Boston and New York City, and within easy driving distance of Hartford, Albany, southern Connecticut, and Vermont, Stockbridge offers an ideal setting for artists, exhibitors, and visitors alike.

Among the returning artisans is Emily Chase Wilson of Mostrom & Chase Handweavers, a family business celebrating 50 years of textile craftsmanship. Working from home studios in the Berkshires, Emily creates contemporary chenille scarves in vibrant colors, while her mother, Diane Mostrom Chase, handweaves classic cotton throws, baby blankets, and table linens. Each heirloom-quality piece blends traditional weaving techniques with timeless design.

Also returning is Barbara Doncaster of Great Barrington, Massachusetts, whose luminous watercolor paintings capture serene landscapes, vibrant gardens, and delicate floral studies. Ariel Kessler of Medford, Massachusetts, works across painting, collage, printmaking, and ceramics, using bold color and layered textures to explore themes of memory, storytelling, home, and the natural world. Lillian Forziat of Garden City, New York, creates expressive oil paintings that balance realism and impressionism, portraying still lifes, landscapes, and seascapes with warmth and sensitivity.

Stockbridge artist Julia Rose Miner returns with a compelling collection of textured abstract landscapes inspired by her unique visual experience. Diagnosed at age seven with Stargardt disease, a form of macular degeneration, Miner perceives the world through a constant vibrating visual texture. Drawing upon her sense of touch as another way of seeing, she transforms her perspective into richly layered paintings that celebrate color, texture, scale, and the beauty of the natural world.

Additional featured exhibitors include Louis Wallach of Stockbridge, Massachusetts, whose one-of-a-kind wood creations are crafted from sustainably sourced materials inspired by nature; James Takaki of Brattleboro, Vermont, whose sculptural metalwork includes lighting, garden art, and custom pieces; and Lisa Anderson of Great Barrington, Massachusetts, whose handcrafted jewelry reflects a lifetime of travel and inspiration drawn from Australia, Greece, Europe, and Asia. Visitors will also discover the handcrafted pottery of Roxanne Parent and the whimsical wearable art of Susan Pillay, whose infant and children’s clothing features hand-painted designs created with eco-friendly dyes on soft natural cotton fabrics.
